To plan and deliver engaging computer science lessons for primary classes, fostering digital literacy, logical thinking, and safe use of technology among students in line with CBSE curriculum guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach computer science and digital literacy to students from Classes I-V as per CBSE norms.
Design age-appropriate lesson plans, activities, and projects that make learning interactive and practical.
Introduce students to basic computer operations, MS Office, internet usage, coding fundamentals, and responsible online behavior.
Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and maintain records.
Ensure safe and ethical use of technology in the computer lab.
Integrate technology into teaching to support learning in other subjects.
Provide individual guidance to students who need additional support.
Prepare students for internal assessments, competitions, and exhibitions related to IT and coding.
Maintain computer lab equipment and promptly report any technical issues.
Collaborate with other teachers to promote cross-curricular ICT activities.
Participate in school events, staff meetings, and training programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Applications (BCA) / Computer Science OR Graduation in any discipline with Diploma/Certificate in Computers.
B.Ed. preferred (as per CBSE norms).
Strong subject knowledge and ability to simplify concepts for young learners.
Good communication and classroom management skills.
Creativity in designing interactive lessons and hands-on activities.
Patience, enthusiasm, and child-friendly approach.
Work Experience:
0-3 years of teaching experience (freshers with strong subject knowledge and teaching aptitude may also apply).
