Job Purpose ( Significance of the role & Objective )

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented

Prototype Technician

to join our 4-wheeler development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly, modification, and building of prototype vehicles and components to support the engineering and product development teams.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

Assemble, install, and fit vehicle systems (mechanical, electrical, and body components) as per prototype build instructions. Assist engineers in building prototype vehicles and sub-assemblies. Perform modifications, retrofits, and upgrades on prototype models as required. Document build processes, test results, and report issues to the engineering team. Maintain workshop tools, equipment and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Collaborate with design, production, and testing teams to implement improvements.

Desired Qualifications: Required qualification, Knowledge, and Experience

ITI / Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. 2-5 years of experience in prototype build and vehicle assembly (preferably in the 4-wheeler segment). Hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, and fabrication techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly manuals. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Familiarity with workshop tools, torque equipment, and safety practices.
