Job Requirements

Able to interpret, understand and prepare the Protection Single Line Diagram


Able to interpret the functionality of main components like CT, VT, CB, Disconnector, Earth Switch, Protection Relay


Able to read and understand the Protection function ANSI number and interpret whether CT or VT input is required


Able to understand and interpret various circuit for Gen. Protection Panel, Gen. Synchronization Panel, MV, LV Switchgear Panel.


Able to prepare the Circuits like Power Supply circuits, CT, VT Circuits, Binary Input Circuit, Binary Output Circuits, Tripping and Closing CircuitsIden


Able to understand and interpret drawings received from other vendors like CB, Disconnector, Transformer, Switchgear and identify the Terminal where the signals from Protection panel has to be connected.


Able to understand the existing panel drawings and identify new components required for Relay Retrofit projects.


Able to prepare the Main Relay Ordering Code, Able to identify the right components required at the start the engineering.


Able to prepare the Aux. BOM including all accessories for material ordering.


Able to provide alternate models if proposed model is not available.


Able to prepare Control Cable Interconnection Diagram, SCADA Signal List.


Able to identify the AC/DC consumption details for Panel.


Able to understand and prepare Logic diagram, Trip matrix.


Able to prepare the manufacturing drawing with mounting plate drilling details, panel/component labelling details, etc


Able to understand the Red markup drawing and prepare the final as manufactured/as built drawings


Able to read component data sheet/catalog and understand the functionality.


Conversant with the symbols used for PSLD, Schematics like CT, VT, CB, Isolator, Earth Switch, Contactor, MCB, Fuse, etc.

Work Experience

BE (Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer 6 to 8 Yrs exp in design & development of Protection Control Panels for Plant equipment
Exp in developing 2d schematics * Exp in sizing & selection of protection panel components such as relays, switchgears
