Position Summary:
Prospective chart reviewers help to identify clinical alerts in a patients' history that may support an underlying diagnosis. These alerts are presented to a provider on a point-of-care tool to use during an encounter. This allows the condition to be addressed by
the clinician.
Essential Job Functions:
xc2xb7 Performs pre-visit medical record reviews to identify chronic conditions reported in prior years
xc2xb7 Identify diagnoses that lack supporting documentation
xc2xb7 Prioritizes clinical alerts and presents those that are strongly suggestive of an underlying condition
xc2xb7 Present information to providers in a concise complete manner
xc2xb7 All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
1. Minimum Experience
xc2xb7 2+ years of clinical experience required
xc2xb7 Advanced level of clinical knowledge associated with chronic disease states required
xc2xb7 Relevant chart review or coding experience required
xc2xb7 ICD 10 experience required
2. Education/Licensure:
xc2xb7 Medical Doctor / Physician
xc2xb7 Coding Certification through AHIMA or AAPC added advantage.
