Job Description

Proposals Engineer required with 1 year plus experience & based inAhmedabad. To prepare sales offers and tenders into winning bids.

Job Responsibilities

Enquiries & RFQ from existing and prospective customers in order to establish an initial understanding of requirements.

Build further understanding of requirements by liaising with customers over the telephone/VC/Site Visit.

Liaising & Organise site visits and meetings with customers, suppliers, vendor, subcontractors or consultants.

Working on following technical options, scope of supply & estimation to fulfil the project requirement.

Work in partnership with Engineering, Commercial and Project Managers as appropriate to need in order to evaluate technical risk and commercial terms.

Prepare & submission of tenders & RFQ's for GOVT/suppliers/contractor, subcontractors against specs and T&C's

Compile comprehensive tender specifications defining prices, commercial conditions, comments and deviations and technical specifications for presentation to the customer.

Support Sales team /Sales Engineers during the bid-process.

Monitor progress and status of Proposals, maintaining accurate records and keeping the Proposals Manager fully informed at all times.

Support Project team during handover of Proposals that have resulted in orders.

Maintain internal Quality systems as relevant to the processing of enquiries and proposals.

Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills

Good understanding of engineering practice, water and waste water treatments products

Understanding of tending (mechanical and electrical, civil, controls etc.), contract law, and commercial terms and conditions.

Risk analysis techniques.

Questioning & quick learning skills

IT skills - Microsoft Office & AutoCAD

Essential

Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering.

A minimum of 2 years' experience of working in tendering role within a multidiscipline engineering environment.

Experience, knowledge and understanding of risk analysis techniques.

Experience of working with water & waste water engineering
