Role :Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 Estimation & Proposals Location :Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu Products handled :Heavy fabrication work for Wind Energy, Material Handling, Cement, Mineral, Mining, Power Industry equipment Academic Qualification : Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Additional certification in Costing, estimation and business management preferred. Effective communication skill is mandatory. Communication fluency in Hindi is preferred. Professional Experience :Minimum 8 years for Graduate Engineer / 10 years for Diploma Engineer in Fabrication industry. Should be fully conversant with the unit rates for typical structural, ducting, equipment work.Able to study the requirement and identify economical work process. Prepare elemental cost estimates and finalise proposal to client in line with the requirements.Knowledgeable in estimating applicable Overheads. Successful Order closure of individual orders above 2 Cr. Fully conversant with Indian/International material and manufacturing standards. Should be a self-learner and agile for continuous improvement. Responsibilities : To carry out \xe2\x80\x93 1. Study Tech specs, Drawings & applicable standards.Break down cost elements 2. Prepare an Enquiry Synopsis for management review. 3. Bid/No Bid decision and suitable communication to client 4. Conduct enquiry review with Production/QC/QA/HAE for feasibility and critical points 5. Prepare a method statement for the subject work co ordinating with departments 6. Prepare a technical proposal and approval from client 7. Detailed elemental cost/time estimation 8. Identifying need for sub contracting or outsourcing. Obtaining applicable quotes 9. Compare and align with the time line of client 10. Obtain continuous input from Production of Shop load and identify free slots 11. Prepare a detailed time line plan and get it approved internally 12. Prepare P&M requirement, Manpower requirement and resource schedule 13. QAP/ITP review by departments and alignment with client 14. Management review of Cost & time estimate 15. Decision on Overheads and margins application to cost estimate 16. Interact with client for Proposal submission, follow up 17. Addressing Pre and Post proposal queries from client 18. Prepare and circulate Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports with projections 19. Conduct Order handover meetings and ensure proper handover of all documents 20. Generation of new enquiries, regular interaction with clients 21.
