We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Property Manager to take charge of end-to-end operations at a fast-growing backpacker hostel. This role demands strong leadership to ensure exceptional guest experiences, efficient day-to-day functioning, team supervision, and seamless vendor coordination, while upholding high standards of service quality and operational excellence.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management

  • Oversee all aspects of property operations with complete ownership.
  • Ensure smooth daily functioning, maintaining service quality and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership
  • Manage and motivate on-site teams including housekeeping, front office, and security.
  • Conduct regular meetings, trainings, and performance reviews to build a high-performing work culture.
Vendor Coordination
  • Handle relationships with external vendors for services like food, housekeeping, and security.
  • Ensure timely, reliable, and high-quality service delivery through effective vendor management.
Service Quality Assurance
  • Maintain high standards of hospitality by ensuring top-notch housekeeping, food services, and cleanliness.
  • Regularly audit services to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction.
Guest Experience
  • Engage with guests to understand and resolve their concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Foster a welcoming atmosphere and deliver memorable experiences.
Record Keeping & Data Management
  • Maintain checklists, inventory records, and operational logs for transparency and accountability.
  • Generate performance reports and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Maintenance & Repairs
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to address issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure upkeep and brand consistency.
Budget Management
  • Manage budgets and operational expenses.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize resource use and improve cost-efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Prior experience in hostel, hotel, or hospitality management is required.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in managing vendor relationships and coordinating services.
  • Detail-oriented with a knack for documentation and operational tracking.
  • Adaptable to fast-paced and evolving work environments.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and cost control is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
