Key responsibilities
Drafting and reviewing legal documents:
Preparing and reviewing contracts for purchase, sale, lease, and other agreements related to property transactions.
Conducting due diligence:
Investigating properties to identify potential legal risks, such as title issues, environmental concerns, or zoning violations.
Negotiating terms and conditions:
Representing clients in negotiations to secure favorable terms for property transactions or resolve disputes.
Providing legal advice:
Offering guidance to clients on various real estate law matters, including taxes, financing, and regulations.
Resolving disputes and litigation:
Representing clients in court proceedings or alternative dispute resolution methods like mediation and arbitration to resolve disagreements related to property ownership, boundaries, or contracts.
Ensuring compliance:
Making sure all transactions adhere to local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing real estate.
Handling closing procedures:
Facilitating the legal transfer of property ownership and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed during the closing process.
