Job Description

Role Purpose



The Property and Operations Manager ensures that the physical environment and daily operations of The Sacred Lotus actively support Ayurvedic healing, guest transformation, and a retreat-style experience. This role integrates operational excellence with principles of harmony, sustainability, silence, cleanliness, and mindful hospitality--ensuring the property itself functions as a healing instrument.

Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Facility Management, Operations Management, or related field Formal exposure to

wellness hospitality, Ayurveda centers, yoga retreats, or holistic health facilities

is highly preferred 5-8 years of experience in luxury hospitality, wellness retreats, or healthcare operations Working knowledge of Panchakarma operations and retreat logistics is an advantage

Core Responsibilities



Retreat & Wellness Operations



Manage day-to-day operations across housekeeping, maintenance, security, and support services with a retreat-style, non-intrusive approach Implement SOPs that prioritize

quiet efficiency, discretion, and guest well-being

over hospital-like rigidity Oversee daily operational rhythms around treatment schedules Ensure uninterrupted operation of rooms and therapy infrastructure

Property & Infrastructure Management



Oversee daily maintenance of buildings, rooms, therapy rooms, kitchens, gardens, utilities, and common areas Ensure all facilities meet healthcare, safety, and wellness standards Plan and supervise preventive maintenance schedules for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, water systems, and equipment Coordinate renovations, repairs, and upgrades with minimal disruption to patient care Preserve the sanctity, silence, and aesthetic integrity of healing zones

Reservations & Guest Enquiries



Oversee reservations for wellness programs, room allocations, and long-stay treatments Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries via email, phone, website, and referral partners Oversee accurate documentation of guest details (Eg:Form B & C), treatment plans, dietary requirements, and special preferences Prepare confirmations, pre-arrival communications, and post-stay follow-ups

Guest Experience in a Healing Context



Oversee the complete guest journey--from pre-arrival to departure--with a strong focus on personalised care Ensure guests are oriented to the Ayurveda programs, daily routines, and property guidelines Address guest feedback, concerns, or complaints with discretion and sensitivity Foster a calm, respectful atmosphere aligned with Ayurvedic healing principles

Team Leadership & Training



Lead and mentor operational teams in

mindful service, respect for silence, and compassionate hospitality

Train staff in retreat etiquette, healing-space conduct, and Ayurvedic lifestyle awareness Ensure staff presence supports, rather than disrupts, the guest healing journey

Budgeting & Reporting



Prepare daily management reports on Revenue, Expenditure and Occupancy status Prepare and manage property maintenance budgets Oversee and track expenses, inventory, and asset management Submit regular reports on property condition, costs, and improvement plans

Vendor & Resource Management



Oversee procurement of housekeeping supplies with attention to quality and purity Manage budgets while honouring long-term sustainability and guest well-being

Housekeeping & Hygiene Oversight



Supervise housekeeping teams to ensure hospital-grade cleanliness with hospitality finesse Implement infection control, linen management, and sanitation protocols Conduct regular inspections and audits of rooms and treatment areas

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management



Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, and local regulatory standards Implement preventive maintenance and emergency protocols with minimal guest disturbance Maintain safety systems including fire alarms, emergency exits, CCTV, and access control Prepare and maintain documentation related to property operations for inspections, audits, and certifications
