Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced

Mathematics Proofreader

with a strong

English-medium academic background

and

prior experience in the publishing industry

. The role involves proofreading mathematics content to ensure accuracy in concepts, calculations, formulas, and presentation before publication.

Key Responsibilities

Proofread

mathematics textbooks, manuscripts, and academic content

. Check accuracy of

mathematical concepts, formulas, calculations, symbols, and equations

. Correct grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors. Ensure consistency in mathematical notation, units, examples, and exercises. Verify accuracy of diagrams, graphs, tables, and answer keys. Ensure content adheres to curriculum guidelines and editorial standards. Coordinate with editors, authors, and production teams for corrections. Meet strict deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.
Mandatory Requirements

English medium education background (mandatory).

Strong subject knowledge of Mathematics.

2-5 years of experience in the publishing industry

as a proofreader or editor. Excellent command of written English. High attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Familiarity with proofreading marks and publishing workflows.
Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Mathematics (B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Ed with Mathematics). Experience working on

CBSE / ICSE / IGCSE Mathematics textbooks

. Knowledge of academic style guides and editorial standards.
