What Success Looks Like
First 30 days: You've shipped AI pipelines or prompt engineering improvements, and teammates rely on you for clarity on complex model integrations.
First 90 days: Multi-model workflows (GPT-4.1/5 + SLMs like LLaMA/Nous) are operational, automated evaluation workflows are in place, and blockers are surfaced early.
First 6 months: You've become the AI/technical hub for the team, aligning stakeholders and mentoring junior engineers in best practices for prompt engineering and structured generation.
Core Responsibilities
The Builder Side (40%)

• Build and deploy LLM-based solutions for clinical workflows.
• Implement structured generation pipelines and evaluation frameworks.
• Review AI and software code for both quality and real-world applicability.
• Debug issues in complex multi-model integrations.
• Develop testing and quality assurance for AI-driven features.

The Orchestrator Side (40%)

• Translate AI/engineering vision into executable technical roadmaps.
• Facilitate planning sessions for AI product releases.
• Run productive sprints and resolve blockers quickly.
• Document processes and technical decisions clearly for all team members.
• Coordinate distributed teams across time zones efficiently.

The Communicator Side (20%)

• Bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders with clarity.
• Facilitate AI-focused problem-solving discussions.
• Identify hidden blockers early and proactively solve them.
• Promote a culture of psychological safety where innovative ideas are shared.

Technical Requirements

• 3+ years in LLM/prompt engineering, structured generation, and evaluation workflows.
• Experience with multi-model setups (GPT-4.1/5 + SLMs like LLaMA/Nous).
• 4-8 years of hands-on development with technical leadership experience.
• Fluent in modern web stack: TypeScript, React, Python, Node.js, and cloud platforms.
• Daily user of AI assistants and automation tools.
• Proficiency with project management tools: Jira, Confluence, Git workflows.
• Remote work mastery with strong async communication skills.

Communication Requirements

• Facilitate technical design sessions that reach consensus.
• Translate between technical and business stakeholders effectively.
• Resolve conflicts collaboratively and constructively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across cultures.
• Run meetings that produce decisions, not just discussions.
