Roles & Responsibilities
The Project Manager- Projects Team.
1. Strategic Planning & Execution
Develop Annual Operational Plan: Formulate and execute yearly targets for all environment-based projects, aligning with organisational objectives.
Set Project Goals & KPIs: Define realistic, measurable outcomes for each project - urban forestry, tree plantations, water body rejuvenation, maintenance, etc.
Evaluate Impact & Outcomes: Regularly assess project performance using data-driven insights and environmental indicators.
2. Operations Management
Oversee Daily Operations: Supervise implementation of day-to-day activities for all environmental projects across sites.
Optimize Field Operations: Identify bottlenecks and improve operational efficiency, timeliness, and quality.
Ensure Project Compliance: Implement and monitor adherence to SOPs, Execution summary, safety norms, and environmental standards.
Respond to New Project Requests: Assess feasibility and resource availability for new environmental project proposals and coordinate pre-implementation efforts.
3. Team Leadership & Human Resource Planning
Supervise & Mentor Field Staff: Lead a team of Associates, Field Coordinators, CRPs and Leadmen, ensuring accountability and capacity building.
Human Resource Planning: Forecast manpower needs based on project scale and timelines; assist in recruitment and onboarding of field personnel.
Promote Team Culture: Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment, aligned with the organisation's values.
4. Monitoring, Reporting & Evaluation
Track Progress & Metrics: Maintain dashboards, field reports, and analytics on plantation survival rate, quality, and restoration outcomes.
Field Visits & Audits: Conduct routine inspections of project sites for monitoring quality, adherence, and local engagement.
Monthly/Quarterly Reporting: Compile progress reports, impact stories, and presentation decks for leadership and stakeholders.
5. Stakeholder & Community Engagement
Liaison with Internal Teams: Act as a bridge between field and support teams (HR, Admin, Communications, Finance).
Partner Coordination: Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, funding agencies, CSR partners, local communities, and NGOs.
Event Planning & Execution: Lead planning of plantation drives, clean-up events, awareness campaigns - particularly weekend or monthly events.
6. Resource & Procurement Management
Procurement Oversight: Plan and manage sourcing of saplings, organic fertilizers, tools, and other project materials with the procurement team.
Warehouse Management: Oversee inventory control, storage practices, and timely distribution of project materials.
7. Maintenance & Sustainability
Post-Implementation Maintenance: Monitor long-term upkeep of plantations, rejuvenated water bodies, and nursery operations.
Data-Driven Maintenance Decisions: Use field data and seasonal analysis to plan watering, pruning, and follow-up planting.
8. Compliance & Governance
Policy Adherence: Ensure alignment with internal policies, Thuvakkam's ethical guidelines, partners' expectations, and legal compliance.
Risk Management: Identify operational, environmental, or reputational risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
