Projects Lead - Global

This is a high-impact, strategic leadership role based in Gurgaon (India HQ), reporting to the Global Head of Projects. You will be responsible for leading the design, engineering, and project excellence that drives Lenskart's global retail expansion ensuring the portfolio sets the global standard for quality and brand experience.

Key Responsibilities

Establish Global Design & Brand Standards

: Act as the custodian of Lenskart's retail brand experience, ensuring every store reflects premium design ethos and customer-first principles globally.

Govern Design & Quality:

Lead end-to-end store design management, governing all BOQs, specifications, and quality benchmarks for consistency and compliance across all markets. Set Project Strategy & Governance: Define the strategic project frameworks, processes, and governance models for Global Projects and guide their adoption across all regions.

Oversee Expansion Roadmap:

Build long-term rollout roadmaps to ensure speed, quality improvement, and experience enhancement for multi-country expansion.

Manage World-Class Vendor Ecosystem

: Develop, select, benchmark, and govern a high-quality vendor network for construction, fabrication, engineering, and maintenance across multiple geographies.

Lead Commercial & Value Engineering

: Champion value engineering to optimize material efficiency and cost structure without compromising the brand experience, with an emphasis on material.

Own Financial Controls

: Govern all project commercials, including contracts, BOQs, procurement workflows, and financial controls for the portfolio.

Ensure Execution Excellence & Audits:

Establish quality standards and perform periodic audits to ensure global-level execution consistency across all new markets.

Drive Post-Handover Excellence:

Oversee all post-handover operations, including maintenance, repairs, and lifecycle upkeep for the portfolio.

Cross-Functional Strategic Alignment:

Partner with senior leaders across Retail, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure seamless project planning and strategic alignment for global rollouts.

Lead & Mentor Project Teams:

Lead and mentor regional project teams, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

Represent Projects at Leadership Level:

Represent the Projects function in strategic discussions with senior leadership and cross-functional global stakeholders.

Requirements & Qualifications

Degree: Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering. Experience: 10+ years of experience leading global projects for high-quality, design-led retail or consumer brands. Expertise: Strong expertise in design execution, BOQs, contracting, negotiations, vendor governance, and engineering oversight. * Mandate: Proven experience managing multi-country or large-scale regional retail portfolios.
