Job Purpose:
The Sales Manager - Projects will be responsible for driving project-based sales in the infrastructure,
construction, and industrial sectors. This role involves identifying large-scale project opportunities,
building and nurturing strategic relationships, leading a team of sales executives, and ensuring
timely execution of orders to achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Project Acquisition
? Identify and secure sales opportunities in government, private, and industrial infrastructure
projects.
? Engage with EPC contractors, consultants, architects, and government bodies to ensure
product approval.
? Track upcoming and ongoing projects via industry databases, networks, and market
intelligence.
2. Strategic Client Management
? Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, decision-makers, and
influencers in the project ecosystem.
? Build long-term strategic partnerships to secure repeat business and exclusive contracts.
3. Sales Target Achievement
? Plan, forecast, and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and margin targets.
? Ensure penetration in new markets and expansion in underdeveloped territories.
4. Team Leadership
? Lead and mentor a team of sales executives or territory managers.
? Set performance goals, monitor field activity, and support the team in deal closures.
5. Cross-functional Coordination
? Liaise with supply chain, logistics, production, and finance departments to ensure smooth
execution of orders.
? Manage end-to-end project execution timelines and resolve on-ground challenges swiftly.
6. MIS, Reporting & Forecasting
? Maintain accurate reports on sales pipeline, forecasts, order status, and market feedback.
? Present periodic business reviews to senior management with insights on trends and
challenges.
Key Skills & Competencies:
? In-depth knowledge of steel products (pipes, plates, TMT, structural steel, etc.)
? Strong understanding of project-based sales cycles and government procurement processes
? Excellent negotiation, networking, and relationship management skills
? Effective team leadership and motivational abilities
? Commercial acumen with knowledge of pricing, margins, and credit control
? Proficient in CRM tools, MS Excel, and reporting formats

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
