We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented engineer to support the execution of multiple ongoing projects across our company. This role requires someone who can visualize projects end-to-end, break them down into actionable steps, and coordinate across teams and vendors to ensure smooth, on-time, and within-budget execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand overall project objectives and convert them into a clear, step-by-step execution plan
Break down projects into tasks and sub-tasks, identify dependencies (serial vs parallel), and prepare project timelines
Develop specifications in consultation with internal and external experts for various elements of the project
Estimate costs for each task and prepare a task-wise budget
Identify and shortlist competent vendors and help management negotiate competitive rates with them.
Develop and maintain project schedules using spreadsheets or basic project planning tools
Based on cash flow and vendor payment terms, work out a funding requirement plan for the duration of the project
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to execute tasks as per plan
Track progress, flag delays or risks, and take proactive follow-up actions
Periodically report project status, cost, and timelines to management
Maintain organized documentation for each project phase
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Education:
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or related)
Experience:
2-5 years in a project execution/planning role, preferably in manufacturing, construction, industrial setup, or capital equipment deployment
Strong analytical and organizational skills - able to break down complex projects into manageable steps
Comfortable working with Excel or project management tools to track schedules and budgets
Exposure to vendor or contractor coordination and practical site execution is a plus
Good written and verbal communication skills for reporting and follow-ups
Self-driven, structured, and reliable
Preferred Skills (not mandatory):
Familiarity with tools like MS Project, Trello, or Gantt chart-based scheduling
Understanding of basic budgeting or financial planning principles
Prior experience working with cross-functional teams
