Primary Purpose of Job
Lead the programme planning and execution at Area Development Programmes (ADP), build relationships with local stakeholders, and ensure the staff team's accountability and effectiveness to result in a community-based programme that enhances children's well-being, particularly the most vulnerable, and which leads to sustainable change.
Strategic Planning

• Ensure effective team engagement with community stakeholders, partners and relevant WV technical teams for strategic planning
• Act as a role model in advocating/promoting the organisation and stakeholder transformation according to organisation's vision and core values.
• Plan and coordinate Disaster Management initiatives across the area programme
• Plan and coordinate Local Level Advocacy initiatives across the area

Programme

• Develop and implement a plan for building an understanding of area programme operations in communities

Sponsorship Facilitation

• Develop and implement a plan for building an understanding Child Sponsorship in communities
• Lead planning of child selection as part of programme and lead a design process that ensures sponsorship is integrated into programmes to ensure it is fun and meaningful for children and that communities lead care and protection
• Maximise the benefit of sponsorship-related activities towards CWB outcomes relevant in the AP Plan through intentional integration of sponsorship activities during programming implementation
• Work closely with the Sponsorship Manager and team on all aspects of sponsorship administration and multi-year plans.
• Provide oversight to ensure integrated monitoring plan includes children as part of programme/ SIP design process (including Integrated Activity Plan)
• Ensure all Registered Children are monitored in accordance to WVI standards.
• Ensure staff and partners understand WV child protection policy
• Ensure efforts are taken to respond promptly and appropriately to incidents
• Ensure ADP raises awareness for prevention and reporting of child protection incidents across the program area
• Ensure that children are involved in age-appropriate ways in all aspects of the programme.
• Facilitating the Immersive Donor Experience

Programme Management & Execution

• Build collaborative working relationships with Technical Programme teams and CESP team for effective implementation
• Ensure high level of quality programmes in alignment with World Vision standards & WV Development Programme Approach (DPA).
• Adapt the Technical Programme for implementation in the ADP; develop implementation plan and budget
• Ensure the delivery of the mutually agreed budget and implementation plan in the AP. Produce regular finance and management reports as required by the NO
• Ensure an effective and efficient monitoring system is in place which is owned and used by community and local stakeholders and also provides information to meet WV requirements
• Manage ADP data on Horizon Manage Annual Community Review and Planning process with community for feedback and reflection; adjust annual programming plans as needed
• Collate and supply monitoring data to NO on TP standardised indicator and ensure relevant information is made available for TP reports
• Ensure monitoring info is used to improve programme performance
• Contribute to TP evaluations as requested
• Ensure quality reports (SAR, AR, Child report to Sponsor, MSC etc.) are prepared and submitted on time.
• Develop a sustainability plan of WV India programs to be taken over by the CBOs & Govt.

Partnership Building & Resource mobilization

• Ensure WV's core values are appropriately reflected in relationship building
• Maintain cordial relationships with local government departments and NGO partners
• Explore opportunities for raising local resources from other sources (GO/ NGOs/corporates)
• Participate GO and NGO meetings at ADP Level
• Represent World Vision at different platforms at ADP and district level.
• Mobilize local resources for the programs from the community or from Govt.
• Engage and partner with government, peer agencies, faith bodies, civil society, and business and in multi-stakeholder coalitions and networks to advocate for the local issues.

Building Teams and Trust

• Provide strong and positive leadership to the ADP ensuring competent and motivated local staff are hired and retained and high-performers identified and nurtured
• Support professional and personal development of ADP staff, with an emphasis on-the-job coaching and facilitating ongoing action learning and reflection
• Ensure WV's core values are appropriately reflected in all aspects of programme implementation

Knowledge & Qualifications
Master of Social Work or any other PG with 5 years of experience in development sector
Good contextual knowledge of local issues, community priorities and social and cultural constraints and realities
Excellent knowledge about research philosophies, principles, statistical definitions, scientific tool and techniques
A thorough knowledge & understanding of LEAP/PQ/PE/DPA standards and related DME Processes
Expert knowledge of information presentation techniques (graphing, charting, tabling etc.) and interpreting them
Experience
5 years in Development Work
Handling work with minimum man power and lesser turnaround time
