Key Responsibilities
Conduct field surveys to assess mangrove ecosystems, species diversity, and ecological conditions.
Assist in planning and implementing mangrove restoration activities, including nursery development and plantation.
Monitor growth, survival rate, and ecological health of planted mangroves.
Coordinate with local communities, panchayats, fishermen groups, and government departments.
Maintain project-related records, data sheets, and documentation.
Prepare monthly reports, field updates, and progress summaries.
Support environmental awareness campaigns and capacity-building programs.
Assist in identifying suitable restoration sites and mapping project areas.
Ensure the timely execution of project activities as per timelines.
Provide administrative and logistic support to the project team.
Required Qualifications & Skills
B.Sc. in Botany or Zoology
Basic understanding of coastal ecosystems, especially mangroves and wetlands.
Ability to work in field conditions, including coastal and intertidal areas.
Strong communication and community engagement skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Interest in conservation, biodiversity, and environmental protection.
Ability to coordinate with field workers, volunteers, and local stakeholders.
Good report-writing and documentation skills.
