Experience Required: Minimum 5-8 years in Hull Fabrication, Shipbuilding, or Marine Structural Work

Job Summary:

The Project Manager - Hull Work will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all activities related to hull construction and structural work in shipbuilding projects. The role involves managing manpower, materials, schedules, and budgets while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the complete hull fabrication and assembly process for ships and marine vessels.

Develop detailed work plans, timelines, and budgets for hull-related projects.

Supervise and coordinate with engineering, production, and quality control teams.

Monitor progress and ensure adherence to class standards, drawings, and client specifications.

Manage manpower allocation, productivity, and daily work control inside the shipyard.

Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality regulations.

Review fabrication drawings and resolve any technical or production issues.

Liaise with clients, classification societies, and subcontractors for smooth project execution.

Control project costs and maintain proper documentation of work progress and material usage.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance work efficiency and quality.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of hull structure, fabrication, fitting, and alignment processes.

Ability to read and interpret shipbuilding drawings and standards.

Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Proficient in project management tools and MS Office applications.

Understanding of safety practices in shipyard and marine environments.

Educational Qualification:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Marine / Naval Architecture or related field.

PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
