Role Overview:
The Project Manager - Solid Waste Management is responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of solid waste management projects. The role ensures compliance with statutory norms, timely completion of project milestones, effective coordination with stakeholders, and optimal utilization of resources while maintaining quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, execute, and oversee solid waste management projects including collection, transportation, processing, and disposal.
Manage daily project operations at site and ensure adherence to approved project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Coordinate with municipal authorities, government bodies, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
Ensure compliance with Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 and other applicable environmental and statutory regulations.
Monitor performance of site teams including engineers, supervisors, operators, and manpower.
Oversee operation of facilities such as MRFs, composting plants, landfill sites, and waste processing units (as applicable).
Ensure availability, maintenance, and proper utilization of machinery, vehicles, and equipment.
Track project progress and prepare MIS, progress reports, and review presentations for management and clients.
Manage project documentation including contracts, BOQs, drawings, approvals, and statutory records.
Implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices at all project sites.
Identify project risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Control project costs and ensure optimal resource allocation.
Handle client inspections, audits, and review meetings.

Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil / Environmental / Mechanical) or equivalent.
Master's degree in Environmental Engineering / Management will be an added advantage.
Experience:
5-10 years of relevant experience in solid waste management or urban infrastructure projects.
Experience in handling municipal or government projects preferred.
Work Environment:
Field-based role with frequent site visits.
May require travel and extended working hours as per project needs.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
