We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager with strong expertise in STM and Journal publishing to join our team. The ideal candidate must come exclusively from the e-publishing industry and possess deep understanding of end-to-end journal/STM workflows. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time while ensuring high-quality output and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and proven project management skills within the STM/Journals domain.
What You'll Do
Develop and implement effective project plans and strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality in project delivery.
Manage and optimize workflows across teams to ensure timely completion of STM/Journals deliverables.
Coordinate with cross-functional departments (Production, Editorial, QC, Tech, Vendor teams) to align project goals and timelines.
Establish and maintain SOPs for consistent and compliant project execution within STM/Journals workflows.
Track project performance and proactively address risks, delays, and quality issues.
Prepare and manage project budgets, forecast resource needs, and ensure efficient utilization.
Collaborate with vendors relevant to e-publishing (copyeditors, typesetters, proofreaders, platforms) and maintain strong relationships.
Promote continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability across the project team.
Support client interactions, ensure customer satisfaction, and manage scope expansions.
Lead both direct (5-7) and indirect (50+) project team members.
Analyze project data to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
Drive scheduling, project planning, quality improvement, and Lean/Kaizen initiatives.
Support training and development of your project teams.
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, publishing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Mandatory:
Experience in STM (Science, Technical, Medical)
Experience in Journal production workflows
Experience only in the e-publishing industry
