Project Manager - Civil
to lead and manage end-to-end execution of residential and/or commercial construction projects. The role involves planning, coordination, quality control, cost management, and timely delivery of projects in compliance with safety, quality, and statutory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Plan, execute, and monitor civil construction activities as per approved drawings, specifications, and timelines.
Prepare project execution plans, schedules, and work programs.
Ensure completion of projects within defined time, cost, and quality parameters.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with consultants, architects, structural engineers, contractors, and vendors.
Liaise with internal departments such as planning, billing, procurement, QA/QC, safety, and CRM.
Conduct regular site meetings and review progress with all stakeholders.
Quality Control & Safety
Ensure adherence to quality standards, approved materials, and construction practices.
Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures at site.
Ensure strict compliance with safety norms, statutory regulations, and company safety policies.
Cost Control & Budgeting
Monitor project costs and ensure execution within approved budgets.
Review BOQs, RA bills, variation statements, and contractor claims.
Control material wastage and optimize resource utilization.
Contractor & Vendor Management
Finalize and manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and compliance.
Resolve site-level issues, disputes, and execution challenges.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Maintain project documentation including drawings, approvals, measurements, and records.
Update management on project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
Statutory & Compliance
Ensure compliance with local authorities, statutory approvals, and inspections.
Coordinate for audits, certifications, and completion documentation.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong project management and leadership skills
In-depth knowledge of civil construction methods and materials
Expertise in residential/commercial real estate projects
Cost control, billing, and contract management skills
Excellent coordination and communication abilities
Problem-solving and decision-making capability
Qualification & Experience
B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
10-15 years of relevant experience in real estate construction
Proven experience handling multiple contractors and large-scale projects
Experience with high-rise residential projects preferred
