Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering government infrastructure projects. You will be the primary link between our company and the Executive Engineers/Assistant Engineers of the PWD/CPWD. Your mission is to ensure that the project is executed strictly as per the Departmental Specifications, within the quoted tender cost, and cleared through the rigorous government billing cycle.

Key Responsibilities



1. Technical Execution & Quality



Ensure all works strictly adhere to CPWD/PWD Specifications and General Conditions of Contract (GCC).

Supervise the construction of [Roads/Buildings/Bridges] from site layout to final completion.

Manage onsite testing of materials and maintain Quality Control Registers as per departmental mandates.

2. Government Liaison & Billing



Act as the primary point of contact for PWD/CPWD officials; facilitate site inspections and progress reviews.

Lead the Measurement Book (MB) entry process; ensure accurate recordings and timely signatures from departmental engineers.

Prepare and process Running Account (RA) Bills and the Final Bill, ensuring all deductions and price escalations are accounted for.

3. Compliance & Documentation



Maintain all mandatory site records: Site Order Book, Hindrance Register, Cement/Steel Registers, and Material Test Reports.

Ensure timely submission of "Extension of Time" (EOT) applications if project delays occur due to departmental or external factors.

Manage labour compliance in accordance with government labour laws and safety norms.

4. Budget & Resource Planning



Optimise the deployment of machinery and labour to remain within the Analysis of Rates.

Monitor material consumption to prevent wastage beyond the permissible limits set by the department.

5. Revenue & Billing Management



Ensure the timely and accurate preparation, submission, and certification of Running Account (RA) bills to maintain a healthy project cash flow.

6. Documentation & Compliance



Maintain meticulous records in Measurement Books (MB) and Quality Registers, ensuring 100% accuracy and zero audit objections.

7. Project Timeline Adherence



Proactively manage project milestones and schedules to ensure on-time delivery and mitigate risks related to Liquidated Damages (LD) or contractual penalties.

8. Quality & Safety Oversight



Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards to ensure zero major observations or non-compliance reports from Departmental Quality Control wings.

Required Qualifications & Skills



Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering is mandatory.

Experience: 10+ years in Civil Construction, with at least 5 years specifically managing PWD, CPWD, PSU projects.



Thorough understanding of the CPWD/PWD Works Manual and Schedule of Rates (SOR).

Expertise in interpreting NIT (Notice Inviting Tender) and contract clauses.

Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Project. Excellent negotiation and "liaison" skills are critical.

Attributes: High integrity and the ability to handle high-pressure government deadlines (especially toward the financial year-end in March).

Pay: ?50,000.00 - ?75,000.00 per month
