Job Purpose:
Leads a project team to achieve optimal balance between cost, time, and quality, and between cost, benefit, and risk on projects of complexity up to (and including) 3 by ensuring both effective and efficient execution of the project in such a way that the QHSSE, technical, commercial, and contractual requirements are met. May support more complex projects by leading a work package. Key contacts & relationships include Project Delivery Managers, Project Directors, Senior Project Managers, and Client Project Management Teams. Leads project teams and works collaboratively across multiple service lines and business units. Mentors and supports more junior members of the team. Is guided by Project Directors, Senior Project Managers, and the Project Delivery Manager. Applies knowledge of professional principles and practices. Is working toward or has attained a professional qualification and accreditation in Project Management.
The Project Manager will assist the Service Line Manager in managing assigned projects, collaborate with the Resource and Workshop teams to ensure efficient resource allocation, and support the Business Line Manager in business development, including providing information for tendering and marketing purposes. Additionally, the Project Manager will coordinate with the Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager, Cost Controller, and Finance Head during tender preparation, and work with the Party Chief and field team to ensure efficient and safe project execution. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work well with various departments.
Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Assist the Service Line Manager in managing assigned projects, ensuring all project objectives are met within the specified timelines and budgets.

• Resource Allocation: Collaborate with Resource and Workshop teams to ensure efficient allocation and utilization of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.

• Business Development: Support the Business Line Manager in developing new business opportunities. This includes providing necessary information for tendering processes and contributing to marketing efforts.

• Tender Preparation: Coordinate with the Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager, Cost Controller, and Finance Head to prepare comprehensive and competitive tenders. Ensure all financial and contractual aspects are accurately addressed.

• Field Coordination: Work closely with the Party Chief and field team to ensure projects are executed efficiently and safely. Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with project plans and safety standards.

• Project Mobilization: Provide mobilization notices to all internal stakeholders to prepare resources for upcoming projects. Ensure all necessary preparations are completed before project commencement.

• Project Monitoring: Oversee project progress to ensure adherence to Fugro project management guidelines. Implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.

• Stakeholder Management: Maintain clear and consistent communication with both internal and external clients. Provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns promptly.

• Invoicing: Ensure timely and accurate invoicing according to agreed contract milestones. Work with the finance team to resolve any billing issues and ensure prompt payment.

• Project Closeout: Ensure proper closeout of projects, including the documentation of lessons learned and feedback from stakeholders. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.

Required Experience & Skills:

• A minimum of 10-15 years of proven experience.
• Strong communicator. Promotes open communication across the organization. Empowers & connects other people with positive impact, provides energy and demonstrates passion, trust & respect.
• Takes ownership and initiative, acts with confidence, and works under own direction.
• Preferred Project Management Certification.

3) Responsible for following all safety signs/procedures/ safe working practices.

5) Responsible for participating in mock drills.
6) Entitled to refuse to undertake any activity considered unsafe.
7) Responsible for filling up of hazard observation card, wherever a hazard has been noticed at site.
8) Responsible for safe housekeeping of his workplace.
9) To stop any operation that is deemed unsafe.
