Job Summary
The Civil Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing civil construction projects. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and oversee civil construction projects from initiation to completion
Prepare project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities
Monitor project progress and resolve technical, contractual, and operational issues
Ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
Review drawings, BOQs, contracts, and technical documents
Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including performance and payments
Conduct site inspections and progress meetings
Prepare and submit progress reports to senior management
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
10-15 years of experience in civil construction project management
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
Experience with infrastructure, buildings, industrial projects (as applicable)
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent planning, scheduling, and organizational abilities
Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
Good knowledge of AutoCAD and basic design interpretation
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
Working Conditions
Primarily site-based with office coordination
May require travel to multiple project locations
