The Project Manager (Sales) is responsible for managing end-to-end sales projects--from lead generation and technical discussion to project execution, client coordination, revenue delivery, and after-sales support. This role ensures that customer requirements are fully understood, proposals are accurate, projects are delivered on time, and business targets are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:1. Sales & Business Development
Generate new leads through field visits, networking, and market research.
Identify customer needs and propose suitable products/solutions.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.
Negotiate & finalize commercial terms with clients.
2. Project Planning & Coordination
Understand project scope, technical requirements, and deliverables.
Coordinate with internal departments (Design, Procurement, Operations, Finance).
Prepare project timelines and ensure on-time execution.
3. Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure customer expectations are met regarding quality, timeline, and communication.
Handle escalations and resolve issues promptly.
4. Execution & Monitoring
Track project progress against timelines and budgets.
Conduct regular site visits, check execution status, and report deviations.
Ensure proper documentation, approvals, and compliance.
5. Revenue & Performance Reporting
Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
Monitor invoicing, payment collection, and profitability of projects.
Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports for management.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Education:
Graduation in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent.
MBA preferred (optional).
Experience:
3-8 years in B2B sales, project sales, industrial sales, or construction/infrastructure projects.
Experience working with large clients, contractors, government projects is a plus.
Technical/Functional Skills:
Strong understanding of project lifecycle and technical sales.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications (if applicable).
Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and project tracking software.
