The Project Manager will lead and oversee architecture and interior design projects from concept to completion. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage timelines, budgets, consultants, contractors, and client expectations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in design and technical detailing, and experience managing high-end residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
Key Responsibilities:Project Management
Plan, schedule, and manage all phases of architectural and interior design projects
Develop and monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
Coordinate internal design teams, consultants, vendors, and contractors
Oversee project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contracts
Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and regulations
Client & Stakeholder Communication
Act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
Conduct regular client meetings and presentations
Provide updates on project status, risks, and issues
Manage client approvals and changes in project scope
Team Leadership
Guide and mentor junior architects and designers
Coordinate cross-functional teams including FF&E specialists, contractors, and engineers
Ensure quality control throughout all phases of the project
Design Oversight
Participate in design reviews and decision-making
Maintain design integrity and alignment with project goals
Coordinate material selection and specification processes
Construction Administration
Manage on-site activities including site visits, inspections, and punch lists
Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to resolve issues during execution
Track and manage RFIs, change orders, and submittals
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
Professional license or certification (e.g., RA, NCIDQ, PMP) preferred
Minimum 5 years of project management experience in architecture/interiors
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
Strong understanding of construction processes, codes, and detailing
Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience:
Experience with luxury residential, commercial, or hospitality projects
Familiarity with procurement and FF&E coordination
Knowledge of sustainable design principles and LEED certification processes
