Our client (leading investment bank) is investing significantly in digital transformation to improve our productivity, client and employee experience and creating capacity to reinvest in incremental growth activities. The Digital Channel Solutions Business is part of Transaction Banking supporting digital channels and data solutions for Corporate, Institutional and SME Clients.
The Project Manager reports to the Senior Product Lead in India and has a matrix reporting line to Head, Straight2Bank Access. This role will be working closely with the Chief Product Owners, Product Owners, Hive Delivery Leads and Risk teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of a Data Quality Risk Remediation initiative. This initiative is key to meeting the Bank's regulatory commitments. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery aligns with both regulatory obligations and strategic business priorities.
Responsibilities
Project Management and Governance
Manage the full project lifecycle of the project and coordinate with all relevant stakeholders across business and technology (as well as relevant support functions) ensuring milestones are met
Partner with relevant stakeholders, to ensure adherence to Bank standards and governance framework
Develop and maintain comprehensive project artefacts including Project plans, RAID logs, Delivery plans and general updates to stakeholders
Prepare materials and facilitate the weekly meetings including Working Group and Steerco meetings, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and relevance of data
Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, escalating as required
Coordinate with risk and issue owners to regularly reassess residual risks and mitigation plans
Ensure Clarity (the Enterprise tool for program/project monitoring and reporting) is up to date including RAG status, key milestones, financials, risks, issues
Encourage and enforce high standards of quality, accuracy and consistency in all project and programme logs, trackers and reporting materials.
Drive formal handover to BAU including the formal programme closure when required
Financial Management
Collaborate with PMO and other relevant teams to ensure accurate project forecasting and actuals
Track and validate recharges, third party spend and internal resource allocations
Support financial governance by ensuring variances are monitored and reported
Support the Project Initiative owner in meeting the programme's financial commitments in each year and over the life of the programme.
Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with stakeholders across functions
Ensure regular and transparent communication of project progress, risks and key decisions
Engage stakeholders to align on priorities and resolve issues collaboratively
Drives team members toward delivering on their commitments
Effectively manage difficult interpersonal situations and drive consensus where needed
