The Project Manager - Civil is responsible for overall planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of high-rise building projects at site. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with approved drawings, quality standards, and safety regulations. The Project Manager leads multidisciplinary teams and coordinates with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end execution of high-rise building projects
Plan project schedules, construction sequences, and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
Monitor progress against project timelines and budgets
Manage site teams including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, and authorities
Conduct project review meetings with clients and consultants
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards
Oversee quality control, inspections, and testing of works
Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals
Manage project risks and resolve technical and construction challenges
Control project costs, variations, claims, and change orders
Prepare and present progress reports to senior management
Ensure timely project handover and close-out documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Master's degree or Project Management certification (PMP / PRINCE2) preferred
Experience
12-18 years
of experience in civil construction
Minimum
5-8 years
as Project Manager on
high-rise building projects
Strong experience with RCC structures, formwork systems, and high-rise execution
Skills & Competencies
Expertise in high-rise construction methodologies
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
Excellent planning, scheduling, and cost control abilities
Proficiency in Primavera P6 / MS Project
Strong understanding of contract administration (FIDIC preferred)
Ability to manage multiple contractors and large site teams
Strong communication, negotiation, and reporting skills
