Job Summary:
Sarathy Geotech Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with a strong
background in geotechnical engineering to oversee and manage on land engineering projects. The
ideal candidate will possess an M.E./MTech in Geotechnical Engineering and have a proven track
record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management
? Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
? Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to define project objectives and
deliverables.
? Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as necessary to meet deadlines.
? Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental
guidelines.
Technical Expertise
? Conduct site investigations and provide geotechnical analysis for foundation design, slope
stability, soil mechanics, and other related aspects.
? Review and approve geotechnical designs, drawings, and reports prepared by the team.
? Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Team Leadership
? Lead multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, to ensure
seamless project execution.
? Foster a collaborative work environment and resolve conflicts effectively.
Client and Stakeholder Management
? Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status
and addressing concerns promptly.
? Prepare and deliver presentations, technical reports, and proposals to stakeholders.
Budget and Resource Management
? Manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.
? Optimize resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Quality Assurance and Risk Management
? Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards in all project phases.
? Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Education
? M.E./M.Tech/ M S in Geotechnical Engineering (mandatory).
Experience
? 8+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with at least 3 years in a project
management role.
Technical Skills
? Proficiency in geotechnical engineering standards and Industry practices.
? Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., IS codes, Eurocodes, ASTM).
? Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Zoho).
Soft Skills
? Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
? Strong communication and presentation skills.
? Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
? Must be willing to travel Pan India and Abroad for the meetings / execution as and when
required.
Certifications (Preferred)
? PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification.
