Job Description


The position is for a highly motivated Project Manager/Product Manager who will be responsible for end to end delivery of software products (systems, applications and platforms) for use by FIL s business team. The successful candidate shall oversee all aspects of an engagement(s) using planning, monitoring, and controlling processes as per the Fidelity guidelines and standards, and shall be responsible for managing the pipeline of Products, completion of projects on time, on budget and meeting the requirements. To this end, PM will perform a variety of tasks including business stakeholder management, coordinating all resources and stakeholders, planning and setting milestones, assigning responsibilities and monitoring, creating high performing project teams and form excellent working relationships with senior customer representatives across multiple business and System teams. The right candidate will Exhibit a high level ownership and also look at continuous improvement opportunities Influence business and technology stakeholders Facilitate clear communication and collaboration Understand modern programming and testing constructs and be able to leverage the best methodology for the product(s) Lead, develop and work with a high performing, self-organised & cross functional team Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects using latest methodologies such as Agile and DevOps with key focus areas being delivery management, stakeholder management and people management Establish and uphold Agile values and principles including collaboration with different teams, fostering a culture of understanding business value, team empowerment and self- organization, continuous improvement and flexibility to adapt to emerging business needs. Effective communicator Exhibits good problem-solving skills and proactive approach towards resolving impediments Work with business teams and business analysts to design and deliver solution Work with Technical team in estimating the work and challenge them back Plan the delivery schedule including tasks, milestones, and dependencies keeping the full resources utilization in mind Monitor the progress of a project and ensure regular publishing of status report, quality metrics and timely call out the risks/issues in Program Impediment calls Track the risks and issues and proactively work on resolution and mitigation approach Own the feature scrums and work closely with technical team to establish the roadmap for components Manage medium size programs and bringing different teams together Ensure that project activities are undertaken and completed as per the Fidelity processes and standards Provide recommendations and help direct reports with talent management, objective setting, career development, job rotations, fair and timely appraisals, pipeline management, training, international opportunities, and identification of high potentials, under-performers. Manage vendor staff as needed and according to the agreed contract(s). Create an efficient and effective organisation structure.. Experience and Qualifications BE/ B - Tech / MCA. 10 - 12 years overall experience within IT 2+ years of experience in managing projects of Products Essential Skills Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to teach and learn from others Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision making Experience in delivering and maintaining products (including 3rd party vendor apps) with cross geography teams is a plus Experience of tools like JIRA, Confluence page, MS Office etc. is desired. It will be good if resource is has experience in delivering enterprise applications across technology stacks like programming languages (like Java), Data (Oracle), Integration technologies (MQ), and DevOps tools Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment Desirable Skills / Experience Understanding of any Public Cloud like AWS, Azure, GCP Leadership skills having acumen of working in data warehouse delivery projects Ability to analyse complex issues and provide solutions. Ability to visualise the automation of manual tasks and work with the teams to get them to closure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong team player Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment The successful candidate must be highly motivated, fast learner, flexible, willing to assume responsibility, and deliver quality work on time Ability to interact with multiple technology and business teams Passionate about learning landscape of the department.
