Description:
CTG is seeking to fill a Project Manager - Engineering 3 opening for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 3 months
Duties:
Manage the end-to-end testing of dark fiber delivery projects and provide acceptance recommendations for purchased vendor networks.
Lead the core customer-facing team to ensure project commitments, deployments, and delivery schedules are met.
Oversee field deployment service personnel and manage project schedules as dictated by the customer.
Perform critical analysis on vendor fiber network data handover packages.
Utilize industry-standard software such as EXFO FastReporter2 for analysis and reporting.
Build and deliver reports from field test data, including:
OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) traces
CD/PMD
Power measurement/Span Loss
ORL
Fiber End Face validation
Coordinate field teams and vendors for leased wave testing, ensuring successful completion of testing regimens.
Prepare deployment testing packages for Field Engineers, including schematics, scopes of work, test result packages, and site access details.
Manage all project documentation and ensure timely delivery of handover data.
Interface with vendors and customer support teams to resolve dark fiber or leased wave issues.
Manage regional project financials, labor, and expense accruals.
Skills:
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Advanced knowledge of ISP and OSP fiber networks.
Proficiency in EXFO FastReporter2 or equivalent analysis tools.
Ability to interpret OTDR, CD/PMD, OLTS, and CMAX traces.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and oral communication with the ability to present findings clearly.
Effective multitasking and issue resolution skills.
High competency with office productivity software.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience within a Telecom Network Infrastructure environment.
Minimum 5 years in project management or project support capacity.
Hands-on experience operating optical fiber analysis test equipment (OTDR, CD/PMD testing, laser source/power meter).
Skilled in interpreting Chromatic Dispersion and Polarization Mode Dispersion data.
Knowledge of splicing techniques, fiber types, and their characteristics.
Experience managing vendor contractual deliverables.
Prior use of EXFO Toolbox and FastReporter software.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
Additional languages are an asset.
Additional Information:
This position has a 5% travel requirement.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $23.00 to $36.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
