Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced and result-oriented
Project Manager
with 15 to 20 years of proven expertise in managing
government infrastructure and building construction projects
. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of project execution, budgeting, planning, and liaison with government departments and contractors. Strong leadership and project coordination capabilities are essential for the timely and quality completion of works.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end execution of large-scale
government building construction projects
.
Ensure project completion within defined timeframes, cost limits, and quality standards.
Prepare and monitor project schedules, budgets, resource planning, and risk management plans.
Oversee daily site activities, ensuring adherence to CPWD/PWD/PSU norms and specifications.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and site engineers to ensure seamless execution.
Manage government correspondence, billing, DPRs, work orders, and client documentation.
Review and approve architectural and structural drawings; coordinate with design consultants.
Conduct periodic project reviews, quality checks, and safety audits at the site.
Handle labor deployment, subcontractor management, procurement planning, and logistics.
Resolve technical and site-related issues proactively.
Ensure statutory compliance with respect to labor laws, EHS, GST, TDS, etc.
Lead a team of engineers, supervisors, and foremen effectively and foster team collaboration.
Report regularly to senior management on project status, milestones, risks, and opportunities.
Candidate Requirements:
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred but not mandatory).
15 to 20 years of experience in project management of
building infrastructure projects
, including roads, offices, hospitals, schools, or other government facilities.
Strong understanding of government contract procedures, specifications, and billing formats (e.g., CPWD).
Demonstrated success in managing medium to large-scale projects independently.
Proficient in MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, and project tracking tools.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Able to manage multiple sites or a large workforce across geographies, if required.
Preferred Background:
Prior experience in working with CPWD, PWD, PSUs, or similar government bodies.
PMP or equivalent project management certification is an added advantage.
Experience in government audits, quality certifications, and sustainability compliance preferred.
