At Outsized, we match clients in financial services and management consulting to high-quality independent consultants and boutique/specialist firms for the execution of their key projects.Our client, a global consulting firm (MBB), is looking for a consultant to support them on a Capital Program Management project for a leading firm in India. They are looking for someone with prior experience in managing large capex projects with engineering/construction/steel firms.Below summarises the responsibilities of the consultant:- Reviewing and enhancing the project schedule for accuracy- Facilitating planning and scheduling workshops- Assisting in the implementation of digital solutions for managing large-scale projects- Coordinating cross-functionally among various stakeholders, such as the Project Team, Project Management Consultant (PMC), Design Team, and others- Maintaining daily coordination with the PMC and subcontractors to ensure timely project execution- Establishing a governance framework, including conducting reviews, monitoring key metrics, and preparing reportsAn ideal candidate would have:- 8 to 10 years of experience in managing large capex projects- Experience of having worked with either an engineering/construction/steel firm or experience of being a project management consultant for construction projects- A post-graduation degree from a top tier university is mandatoryThis is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 12-month contract. The consultant will be required to be based in Odisha for the entire duration of the project.
