Educational Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)
M.Tech in Water Resources / Structural Engineering (Preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage end-to-end execution of barrage construction projects, including planning, design coordination, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Prepare and monitor project schedules, resource planning, and budget estimates to ensure timely completion within cost and quality standards.
Coordinate with design consultants, structural engineers, hydrology teams, and government stakeholders for approvals and compliance.
Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and design documents to ensure alignment with site execution.
Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols, construction quality, and environmental regulations.
Manage contracts, sub-contractors, vendors, and site staff for smooth project execution.
Ensure regular reporting of project progress, delays, risks, and mitigation plans to senior management and clients.
Liaise with government departments, local authorities, and statutory bodies to secure necessary permits and resolve issues.
Implement risk management practices to identify and address project bottlenecks or technical challenges.
Ensure proper documentation of quality checks, daily site reports, inspection records, and client correspondence.
Key Skills:
Strong project planning & execution skills (Primavera/MS Project)
Deep understanding of hydraulic structures, river training works, cofferdams, and concrete/masonry structures
Knowledge of relevant codes: IS, IRC, BIS guidelines
Contract and vendor management (FIDIC/CPWD formats preferred)
Leadership and team coordination
Communication and problem-solving abilities
Exposure to environmental and safety norms related to water infrastructure projects
Preferred Background:
Prior experience in construction of barrages, weirs, dams, canal headworks, or similar water infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with government project execution models (EPC, item-rate contracts, etc.)
