About the role (short)
You'll run government solar projects (TPNODL ULA-style contracts and PM-SuryaGhar household rooftop work) end-to-end -- from bid/tender documentation and vendor management to site execution, commissioning, subsidy/submission workflows and O&M handover. This role requires strong hands-on knowledge of government project documentation, DISCOM/net-metering processes, MNRE/PM-SuryaGhar procedures and practical execution experience on rooftop and small ground-mounted solar installs. mnre.gov.in+1

3) DISCOM / Net-metering & interconnection paperwork (TPNODL / local DISCOM)
Application for grid-connection / net-metering (DISCOM forms), service connection number, grid clearance / net-meter installation certificate and DISCOM approval letters. 4) Procurement & supply documentation
Purchase Orders (PO), vendor contracts, material inspection & test certificates, invoices, Goods Received Notes (GRNs), packing lists, warranty certificates, and Manufacturer's datasheets / type test certificates (IEC/BIS).
BOM control, store issue vouchers and inter-site transfer documentation for central store operations.
5) Installation & Commissioning paperwork
Site acceptance checklists, single-line diagrams (SLD), installation drawings, earthing & insulation test reports (megger), I-V & STC test certificates, Joint Inspection / Commissioning Report (JCR) and commissioning certificates. api.solarrooftop.gov.in
6) Compliance, subsidy claims & reporting

7) Quality, safety & O&M

Key responsibilities (detailed)
Lead execution of TPNODL ULB/PM-SuryaGhar solar projects from techno-commercial close to commissioning and handover.
Prepare and review all project documents (tenders, contract annexures, BoQ, SLDs, POs, inspection certificates, commissioning reports, subsidy claim packages). mkp.gem.gov.in
Manage procurement of modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, meters and ancillary items -- negotiate with manufacturers, ensure receipt of type test certificates and warranty documents, maintain GRN and store ledger.
Coordinate with DISCOM (TPNODL) for net-metering approvals, joint inspections and grid-connectivity paperwork; track application status on DISCOM/RTS portals. api.solarrooftop.gov.in
Run PM-SuryaGhar beneficiary onboarding workflows (help households submit required documents, bank details, and ensure EPC / subsidy paperwork completeness). pmsuryaghar.gov.in
Ensure field QA: site readiness checks, SLD sign-offs, earthing & insulation tests, I-V curve testing, and prepare JCRs and commissioning certificates. api.solarrooftop.gov.in
Maintain all project MIS: procurement logs, inventory registers, vendor ledger, subsidy claim tracker and project completion dossiers.
Ensure compliance with MNRE / state guidelines and facilitate audits. mnre.gov.in
Required qualifications & experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Renewable Energy / Engineering or equivalent.
5+ years
experience in solar project execution and documentation (government/discom projects preferred). Experience with MNRE schemes and DISCOM (TPNODL or similar) processes is a strong plus. mnre.gov.in+1
Strong understanding of technical testing (megger, I-V, insulation, earthing) and familiarity with IEC/BIS standards for PV modules and inverters.
Hands-on experience with procurement, vendor management, store control and ERP/inventory systems.
Excellent documentation skills, MS Excel proficiency and ability to prepare subsidy/claim packs and MIS.
