The post-holder will assist the Project Management Lead (South) in managing the relationships between the clients, users and the service providers, specifically in the areas of:
Procurement and management of Life Cycle works
Management of large construction variations on PFI contracts
Procurement and management of smaller variation works as required

Procurement Management: Meridian Hospital Company
Liaise with Management Service Team and Strategic Asset Management Team on planned activities and provide technical input as required.
Develop and establish a supply chain for the delivery of required works on behalf of the Project Company.
Manage the procurement and execution of required works on behalf of the Project Company, including liaison with the Hard FM contractor and management of site inductions and permits to work as required.
Liaise with SPV subcontractors and the Trust on access for works and coordination of access requirements (including liaison with service providers for coordination of maintenance activities with lifecycle works)
Provide accurate, relevant and timely information for individual project boards and project meetings.
Ensure that appropriate consents and approvals are obtained prior to works commencing, including lender and statutory approvals and compliance with CDM requirements
Act as the duty holder's (Client's) representative on CDM notifiable projects and ensure close consultation and dialogue with the CDM advisor.
Develop site relationships with building occupiers and specialists (i.e. Control of Infection and senior Clinical and Estates staff) in order to facilitate delivery.
Participate in relevant team, client, and service provider meetings.

Provide ongoing management and delivery of project(s) on behalf of project owners.

Ensure all projects are delivered in accordance with Vercity's H&S, Asset, Environmental & Quality Management Policies and procedures whilst meeting commercial requirements and ensuring that HSAW legislation is fully observed.
Ensure sustainability issues and opportunities are addressed initially during the project identification stage and are reported on throughout project life.
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE
Proven experience in project management and life cycle works including all aspects of process development and execution in a high profile, high volume environment
Proven experience in the management, procurement and delivery of FF&E, preferably within a healthcare environment
Procurement of lifecycle works subcontract packages
Managing works subcontract packages experience
In depth knowledge of Hard FM service delivery gained in a practical setting
Healthcare Hard Services experience
Understanding of the relationship between client, SPV and service providers
Proven record of service delivery
Relevant building services experience
Desirable
Worked in a PFI Healthcare environment
Lead and managed staff or service providers in either a direct or indirect setting
Knowledge and experience of Whole Life Costing
