The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering or construction project management and be adept at handling multi-stakeholder interactions.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Identification & Management
Identify, evaluate, and finalize suitable vendors/suppliers as per project requirements.
Maintain a database of qualified vendors and ensure compliance with quality and cost benchmarks.
Negotiation & Procurement
Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and service agreements with vendors and contractors.
Support procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials/services.
Bill Verification & Certification
Verify contractor/vendor bills against actual work done and project milestones.
Coordinate with finance teams for timely processing and release of certified payments.
Architectural Coordination
Liaise with architects for design finalization, revisions, and approvals.
Ensure that project execution aligns with approved architectural plans and specifications.
Drawing Review & Compliance
Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings for completeness, feasibility, and accuracy.
Ensure all drawings are up-to-date and communicated to relevant teams.
Project Reporting & Communication
Provide regular progress reports, highlight bottlenecks, and suggest corrective measures.
Facilitate smooth communication among internal teams, vendors, consultants, and architects.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (Master's preferred).
5+ years of experience in construction or infrastructure project management.
Proven experience in vendor management, billing, and architectural coordination.
Strong understanding of construction processes, technical drawings, and project lifecycles.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and compliance norms.
Preferred Skills
Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement.
Familiarity with budgeting and resource allocation.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Industry-specific experience (e.g., IT, Construction, Education, Healthcare, etc.) is an added advantage.
