About The Role About the role: In this role, the Global Finance Master Data (GFMD) is accountable for the projects, strategy, policy, design, and optimization of the end-to-end dada structure in SAP ECC PEP/SHAPE and S/4HANA Finance used for financial reporting. This role also requires active connections with other functions both within and outside of Finance, project teams and the different Master Data maintenance organizations across Novartis. Key responsibilities: Manage Global Finance project from GFMD side in time / quality and agreed costs. Support the Governance stream by Defining and implementing the Global Master Data strategy in the area of the Global Chart of Accounts across the Finance Function. Track project performance periodically to ensure both short-term and long-term goals are met. Design a work plan for each team member depending upon project requirement and member expertise. Identify and mitigate risks that may impact project success. Work with cross functional teams to identify project requirements and ensure that all stakeholders are informed and engaged through the project lifecycle Acts as contributor to support and an active stakeholder for the Lean Digital Core initiative. Identifies all areas of standardization that can add value to the organization Supports Finance master data object management in EBX including future enhancement and stabilization in the area of Chart of Accounts. Provides guidance for efficiency improvements to existing Master Data processes and reporting to ensure compliance with Novartis Financial controls. Support Management Reporting enablement in S/4HANA and EDW. Support Operational process reporting enablement for items related to Finance MD Apply knowledge, tools, template and forums to execute MDM to high standards. Ensure that applicable policies, processes and procedures are fully documented and consistently applied through the master data management lifecycle. Role Requirements Essential Requirement: University level degree in Business Administration / Economics / Finance or Chartered Accountant / Technology-related Engineering / MBA desirable Lean / Six Sigma Certified preferred Minimum of 8 years in-depth finance functional expertise with exposure to Master Data Management Experience in S/4HANA, EBX, consolidation and central governance Experience leading technical aspects of the delivery of SAP Master Data solutions & related components, working across business/technology teams to ensure alignment between business solution definition & systems architecture for the organization Desirable Requirements: Expertise in configuration and implementation of both Financial Accounting (FI), Managerial Accounting (CO), and Central Finance (CFIN) Expertise in Proof of Concept on MDM technologies in order demonstrate strategic process improvement value Experience in project management and project implementation, including budget management Proven ability to operate across multiple functions (FRA, BPA, Taxation, Supply Chain, TechOps, IT, Master Data) Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national organization Experience in managing projects driving performance improvements Why Novartis: Our purpose is to reimagine medicine to improve and extend people\'s lives and our vision is to become the most valued and trusted medicines company in the world.
