Objective:

The Project Head will be responsible for end-to-end execution of a specific sanitary waste management project/cluster in Kerala awarded under CKCL tenders. The role focuses on compliant operations, plant O&M, logistics execution, stakeholder coordination, and people management, ensuring delivery of all contractual KPIs and SLAs.


Key Accountabilities




Project Execution & Service Delivery: o Manage day-to-day collection, transportation, processing, and disposal of sanitary waste as per CKCL tender requirements. o Ensure adherence to service-level agreements, coverage targets, and response timelines. o Coordinate field operations including supervisors, collection teams, drivers, and plant staff. Collection & Logistics Management: o Plan and monitor vehicle deployment, routing, GPS tracking, and manpower utilization. o Ensure safe handling, temporary storage, and transportation of sanitary waste. o Control operational costs related to fuel, fleet maintenance, and consumables. Plant Operations & Maintenance: o Oversee operations of incinerators and associated treatment facilities. o Ensure compliance with approved operating parameters, emission norms, and safety requirements. o Implement preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate with OEMs/vendors. Compliance & Statutory Documentation: o Ensure strict compliance with BMW Rules, CPCB/KSPCB guidelines, and contract conditions. o Maintain statutory records, manifests, logbooks, and MIS reports. o Support inspections, audits, and compliance reporting to authorities Stakeholder Coordination & Government Interface: o Liaise with Municipalities, Panchayats, CKCL representatives, and Pollution Control Board officials. o Address operational issues, inspection observations, and community concerns. o Support awareness programs and citizen engagement initiatives at the project level. People Management & Safety: o Manage supervisors, operators, drivers, and ground staff. o Ensure training on SOPs, safety, PPE usage, and compliance. o Drive discipline, productivity, and performance management. Reporting & Continuous Improvement: o Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and compliance reports. o Identify risks, bottlenecks,
and improvement opportunities. o Escalate issues proactively to the State Head.


Competencies




Domain: Biomedical Waste Management. Air, Water, Land Pollution Act Functional: Lean/Six Sigma, budgeting, employee engagement, Incineration Strong Stake holder management skill with Customers, Govt Bodies and Regulators.

Qualification & Experience


Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical / Environmental / Chemical) or related discipline. 7-12 years of experience in waste management, utilities, infrastructure, or government projects. Strong hands-on experience in operations, compliance, and people management. Fluency in Malayalam is mandatory January 7, 2026
