is responsible for leading, managing, and delivering roadway infrastructure projects from planning to execution, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, timelines, and budget. Lead end-to-end execution of road construction projects including highways, expressways, urban roads, and related infrastructure.
Prepare and monitor project plans, schedules, and progress reports.
Ensure compliance with design specifications, engineering standards, and contractual obligations.
Review and approve construction methodologies, project drawings, and technical documents.
Budget & Cost Management
Prepare project budgets and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor project expenses, certify bills, and ensure timely payments to contractors and vendors.
Identify risks related to budget overruns and implement corrective actions.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead, mentor, and manage engineers, supervisors, and site teams.
Coordinate across departments--design, procurement, quality, safety, and contracts.
Conduct regular review meetings on progress, risks, and action plans.
Vendor & Contractor Management
Oversee contractor selection, negotiation, and performance.
Ensure work progress aligns with contractual terms and quality standards.
Resolve on-site issues and conflicts efficiently.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with QA/QC protocols as per national/international standards.
Implement and enforce strict health & safety guidelines at the site.
Ensure environmental compliance and documentation as required.
Stakeholder Management
Liaise with government authorities, consultants, and third-party agencies.
Coordinate approvals, inspections, and statutory compliances.
Represent the project in client and regulatory meetings.
Qualifications & ExperienceEducation:
B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
M.Tech in Transportation/Highway Engineering (preferred)
Experience:
15-25 years of experience in road/highway projects.
Proven leadership experience managing large-scale EPC/PMC/PPP road projects.
Strong understanding of IRC, MoRTH, and relevant construction codes.
