Job Description

Role Overview



The Group Project Head - Civil is responsible for leading, planning, executing, and delivering all civil engineering and construction projects across the organization. The role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, meeting quality standards, and complying with statutory requirements. The position oversees multiple project teams, vendors, and contractors, ensuring smooth coordination and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities



1. Project Planning & Strategy



Lead the planning, budgeting, and scheduling of all civil and construction projects. Prepare master project schedules, resource plans, and execution strategies. Set project goals, KPIs, and timelines for all projects under the group.

2. Project Execution & Monitoring



Oversee site execution, ensuring timely progress and adherence to designs and specifications. Review and approve architectural, structural, MEP drawings, and BOQs. Conduct periodic site inspections and review progress reports from project managers.

3. Vendor & Contractor Management



Evaluate, finalize, and manage contractors, suppliers, and consultants. Ensure material quality standards and compliance with technical specifications. Resolve construction challenges, discrepancies, and onsite issues.

4. Budgeting & Cost Control



Monitor project budgets, cost estimations, and financial forecasts. Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Approve bills, variations, and work orders.

5. Quality, Safety & Compliance



Ensure all work adheres to BIS standards, safety guidelines, and statutory norms. Enforce quality control systems, audits, and inspections. Coordinate with statutory authorities for approvals, NOCs, and certifications.

6. Team Leadership & Coordination



Lead a team of project managers, engineers, supervisors, and support staff. Ensure team productivity through regular reviews and mentoring. Foster cross-functional coordination with procurement, finance, HR, and operations.

7. Stakeholder Management



Provide project updates to senior management and stakeholders. Manage client, consultant, and internal team expectations. Resolve escalations and ensure smooth project flow.

Required Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E / B.Tech) - Mandatory. Master's Degree in Construction Management / Project Management - Preferred. 15-25 years of experience in civil construction, real estate, hospitality, or infrastructure projects. Proven experience in handling multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.

Key Skills



Strong leadership & project management abilities. Expertise in civil engineering techniques, construction methods, and industry standards. Excellent negotiation, contractor management, and conflict resolution skills. Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, Primavera, and project reporting tools. Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Additional Requirements



Willingness to travel extensively to multiple project sites. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. High level of integrity, professionalism, and team orientation.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?75,000.00 - ?125,000.00 per month
