About the Role:
The Project Engineering Power Platform Developer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing custom business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies. This position focuses on leveraging Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse to streamline engineering project workflows and enhance data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, and IT specialists to translate complex business requirements into scalable and efficient applications. They will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and performance of the developed solutions while continuously identifying opportunities for process automation and improvement. Ultimately, this role aims to empower the engineering organization with innovative digital tools that increase productivity and project delivery success.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5-7 years of relevant technical experience
Proven experience developing applications using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
Strong understanding of data modeling, relational databases, and integration techniques within the Power Platform ecosystem.
Experience with Microsoft Dataverse and Common Data Service (CDS) for data storage and management.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile project methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Power Platform certifications such as PL-200, PL-400, or equivalent.
Experience working in engineering or construction project environments.
Knowledge of Azure services and integration with Power Platform solutions.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or JavaScript to extend Power Platform capabilities.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong oral and written English communication skills with experience in user training and technical documentation.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy custom applications and automated workflows using Microsoft Power Platform components such as Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
Collaborate with engineering project teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and technical constraints.
Maintain and enhance existing Power Platform solutions by troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and implementing updates.
Integrate Power Platform applications with other enterprise systems and data sources to ensure seamless data flow and reporting accuracy.
Document development processes, technical specifications, and user guides to support knowledge sharing and solution adoption.
Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the effective use of Power Platform tools within engineering projects.
Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform updates and best practices to continuously improve solution quality and innovation.
Skills:
The required skills enable the developer to build robust, user-friendly applications that automate complex engineering workflows and provide actionable insights through data visualization. Expertise in Power Apps and Power Automate is essential for creating custom forms, automating repetitive tasks, and integrating disparate systems to improve operational efficiency.
