Our Indian Operations Centre (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2000+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision, and commissioning. Over the last decade, INOPC has evolved to become the largest engineering hub serving more than 40 countries across different energy sectors. The team caters to the four business units-Transformers, Grid Integration, Grid Automation, High Voltage and has successfully executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) and HVDC Light are highly efficient alternatives for transmitting bulk power and for special purpose applications. The classic HVDC technology is used to transmit electric power over long distances by overhead transmission lines or submarine cables. It is also used to interconnect separate power systems, where traditional alternating current (AC) connections cannot be used. HVDC Light\xc2\xae is a power transmission technology developed by Hitachi Energy that offers additional benefits compared to HVDC Classic. You will work mainly with electrical design of main circuit equipment in projects with medium to high complexity.

The PEM ensures that introduced changes are well-motivated, tracked and logged properly. The PEM is responsible to develop and maintain the PEMP.

Responsible for all engineering works and that interface-es are defined and followed as per the contractual requirements. The PEM should identify scope creep and secure that additional customer requests are managed as variation orders, where cost and time impact is properly analyzed. All deliverables should be reflected in the Project Document List (PDL).

Responsible for the scheduling of the engineering works and its alignment with the overall Project Schedule, ensuring timely input to the customer, Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Construction. The PEM executes and manages the sequence of works with support of the Project Planner. The PEM analyze the time impact of changes and communicate the possible deviations envisaged and, if needed, a recovery plan should be proposed.

PEM promotes direct communication between engineers and monitors that the document management procedures ensure an accurate, efficient and up-to-date exchange of technical information.

To plan, execute and control the interface with the procurement process, including verification of sub-supplier documentation. The PEM review and validates engineering subcontracts and ensure budgets are followed, including detailed civil design.

Prepare and control the engineering part of the Project Quality Plan (PQP). The PEM secures that relevant technical requirements are properly expressed in the Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection and Test Records (ITRs).

To Plan, controls, records and executes HSE processes across disciplines, e.g. Hazid/Hazop and Safety by Design. The engineering HSE plan must be integrated in the overall HSE plan.
