Site Electrical Engineer (Solar)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated Site Electrical Engineer (Solar) to manage and supervise electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities for solar power projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality execution, safety compliance, and timely completion of on-site electrical works for ground-mounted solar plants.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise installation of solar PV modules, inverters, junction boxes, DC & AC cabling, and earthing systems Execute electrical works as per approved drawings, BOQ, and technical specifications Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and project teams for smooth project execution Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, IEC norms, and project guidelines Conduct testing, commissioning, and performance checks of solar power systems Monitor daily site activities and prepare progress reports and documentation Manage site technicians, electricians, and subcontractors Inspect materials and ensure proper handling and installation Attend site meetings with clients, consultants, and vendors Troubleshoot faults in DC/AC systems, inverters, and protection systems

Required Qualifications:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering 2 years of experience in solar power projects Good knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, DC & AC distribution, and earthing Familiarity with testing equipment and commissioning procedures Understanding of electrical drawings and single line diagrams (SLD)

Preferred Skills:

Experience with HT/LT panels, transformers, and grid-connected systems Knowledge of IEC, MNRE guidelines, and DISCOM coordination Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
