Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled
Project Engineer - ELV Systems
to plan, execute, and deliver projects involving Extra-Low Voltage systems such as
Fire Alarm, Public Address, Water Leak Detection, Smoke Aspiration, IBMS, Building Automation
, and
PLCs
. The ideal candidate should possess strong engineering fundamentals, hands-on system integration experience, and the ability to manage technical deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (
Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical
, or related fields)
Experience Requirements:
2 to 3 years
of hands-on experience in managing and executing ELV systems such as:
Fire Alarm Systems
Public Address Systems
Water Leak Detection Systems
Smoke Aspiration Systems
Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS)
Building Automation Systems
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Project Planning and Design
Define technical scope, project objectives, and engineering deliverables.
Prepare project schedules, cost estimates, and material/resource plans.
Ensure design compliance with applicable codes and standards.
2.
Coordination and Communication
Act as liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
Facilitate smooth communication and updates across stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver regular progress reports and risk assessments.
3.
Technical Oversight
Supervise implementation and integration of ELV systems on-site.
Ensure that engineering solutions align with design intent and quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real-time.
4.
Budget and Schedule Management
Track budgets, monitor costs, and ensure resource optimization.
Monitor progress against project timelines and adjust plans proactively.
Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
5.
Quality Assurance
Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to HSE and quality standards.
Review installations and ensure conformity with technical specifications.
Work with QA/QC teams for audits and compliance reporting.
6.
Team Leadership and Supervision
Supervise junior engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
Provide guidance and technical support to team members.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
7.
Problem Solving and Decision Making
Proactively identify potential risks and implement preventive measures.
Make sound technical decisions during planning and execution phases.
8.
Project Closeout and Evaluation
Handle handover documentation, warranty submissions, and as-built drawings.
Conduct post-project evaluations and capture lessons learned.
Skills & Competencies Required:
In-depth understanding of
ELV, BMS, and automation technologies
.
Proficiency in
MS Project
,
AutoCAD
, and engineering documentation.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Excellent team leadership, coordination, and client interaction skills.
Knowledge of local regulations, fire safety, and automation codes is a plus.
Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory):
MS Project
or
Primavera
PMP Certification
Certifications in
ELV, BMS, IBMS, or Automation Systems
