Job Summary
The Site Engineer - Mechanical will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing all mechanical works at the water/wastewater treatment plant project sites. This role involves installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment in compliance with project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and execute installation, alignment, and erection of mechanical equipment such as pumps, blowers, agitators, valves, pipelines, and tanks.
Monitor and ensure mechanical works are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety norms.
Coordinate with civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Plan and allocate daily work to technicians, fitters, and contractors at site.
Verify contractor bills, material consumption, and maintain site records/documentation.
Conduct inspection, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment and pipelines.
Troubleshoot site-level mechanical issues and escalate critical problems to the project manager.
Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies, and statutory compliance.
Prepare daily progress reports and provide updates to the project management team.
Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and clients for technical clarifications and approvals.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment used in water/wastewater treatment plants.
Experience in piping layout, hydro-testing, welding inspection, and mechanical erection.
Good understanding of drawings (P&ID, GA, Isometrics) and project specifications.
Ability to manage manpower and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Problem-solving, analytical, and site management skills.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and timelines.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
0-3 years (B.E./B.Tech) of relevant experience in site execution within the water treatment / wastewater treatment / EPC industry.
Hands-on experience in installation and commissioning of pumps, pipelines, valves, and related mechanical systems.
Familiarity with HSE practices and quality management systems.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
