The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 3000+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energys units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy to date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
How youll make an impact:
xc2xb7 Participate in the Technical Kick off handover meetings with Project Manager / Tendering
xc2xb7 Understand the customer specifications as per the provided customer inputs.
xc2xb7 Read through the customer specifications and compliance reports as per the customer requirements.
xc2xb7 Always adhere to milestone deliverables (Base Design / SD BOM / Detail Design) as per the project requirement.
xc2xb7 Preparation of Electrical and Gas SLD, Layout Plan and Section drawings based on various offer / tender and customer specifications.
xc2xb7 Preparation of 3D modelling of high voltage GIS for various substation configuration
xc2xb7 Preparation of Guaranteed technical particulars of GIS and HV equipment such as Breakers, disconnectors, GIB etc. for submission to customer.
xc2xb7 Delivering all the Detail Design Tasks (Rating plates / Cable / Earthing / Poster / As Built etc)
xc2xb7 Participate & contribute DtV Process during the Base design phase for Margin improvement of the Project.
xc2xb7 Participate in the Technical Kick off handover meetings with Lead Engineer/ Project Manager / Tendering
xc2xb7 Accountable for the On Quality Delivery of the milestones of the project as per the Milestone database
xc2xb7 Participate in the customer clarification meetings for the design freeze along with the Project Lead Engineer.
xc2xb7 Review of deliverables before submission to Lead Engineer / Client.
xc2xb7 Preparation of bill of materials (SD BOMs) and release in the SAP as per the Milestone database.
xc2xb7 Providing RFQs to the supplier for the project specific items like Current Transformer / Surge Arrester / Voltage Transformer / Bushings
xc2xb7 Preparation of technical documents for procurement of Current transformers and voltage transformers.
xc2xb7 Participate in customer meetings as required. Active participation in project review meeting
xc2xb7 Active project contribution to reduce the lead time and cost of the offered GIS solution by developing alternate solution as per project technical requirements.
xc2xb7 Coordinate / Lead with cross functional teams like secondary / Steel engineering team to organize Steel handover / Secondary Handover
xc2xb7 Technical trainings and lessons learned sessions to the team, guide new engineers to perform GIS primary engineering activities.
xc2xb7 Able to identify the Risks and opportunities in the GIS Projects
xc2xb7 Supports trouble shooting for factory and onsite issues and provides disposition actions.
xc2xb7 Ability to do proper root causing analysis for the quality issues and provide proper CAPA.
Your Background:
xc2xb7 Years of experience: 6 10 years with Bachelors Engineering in Electrical
xc2xb7 Proficiency in required CAD design tools (Creo / AutoCAD, 3D competence required)
xc2xb7 Knowledge of relevant international standards ex. IEEE, IEC etc.
xc2xb7 Knowledge on High Voltage products. Having knowledge on SAP will be preferred.
