Job Title: Project Engineer (Plastic Toys)

Experience: 2-3 years

Job Location: Prabhadevi, Mumbai.

Department: Product Development

:

1. Manage end-to-end project lifecycle for new toy products, from design validation to mass production.

2. Reviewing and determining the viability of new products/concepts

3. Develop and review 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and BOMs for plastic components.

4. Collaborate with design, tooling, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability & compliance and Evaluate prototypes and engineering samples to ensure function, durability, and aesthetic quality.

5. Develop and monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation

6. Oversee tooling development for injection-molded plastic parts in collaboration with overseas suppliers.

7. Ensure all products comply with applicable toy safety standards (ASTM F963, EN71, CPSIA, etc.).

8. Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFMEA reviews and Risk assessments with cross-functional teams.

9. Manage project schedules, track milestones, and communicate risks and changes.

10. Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., ASTM, EN71), and sustainability goals.

11. Coordinate with QA/QC to validate products through mechanical and safety testing.

12. Support cost engineering by identifying material, tooling, and process optimizations.

13. Maintain detailed documentation of project milestones, technical specs, and change requests.

Qualifications

:

1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Plastic Engineering, CIPET.

2. Experienced in injection molding.

3. Proficiency in CAD software SolidWorks

4. Knowledge of injection molding processes, materials, and tooling.

Working Conditions:

Occasional travel to manufacturing plants or suppliers may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
