Key Responsibilities:

1. Detailed Engineering Design

Develop detailed process and mechanical designs for water and wastewater treatment systems such as STP, ETP, and WTP.

Perform hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and flow balancing across units like MBR, UF, RO, PSF, ACF, softeners, aeration systems, and sludge handling.

Prepare and issue design deliverables including:

Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)

Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

General Arrangement (GA) Drawings

Equipment Layouts

Hydraulic profiles

Bill of Materials (BOMs)

2. Equipment Sizing and Selection

Select and size mechanical and electrical equipment such as pumps, blowers, tanks, membranes, mixers, and valves based on flow, pressure, and load parameters.

Coordinate with the execution team to ensure all design inputs meet site-specific constraints (space, height, accessibility, etc.).

3. Interdisciplinary Design Coordination

Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure proper interfacing and integration of design components.

Provide necessary design inputs to vendors, fabricators, and subcontractors to support equipment layout and interconnection.

Ensure constructability of the design by addressing issues related to piping routing, access, and installation feasibility.

4. Design Review and Technical Support

Review and verify vendor drawings, datasheets, and component specifications against design intent.

Support the project team by providing clarifications, technical notes, and as-built revisions during installation and commissioning.

Conduct site visits (if required) to validate design implementation and provide resolution to on-site issues.

5. Quality and Compliance

Ensure all designs conform to project specifications, industry standards (BIS, CPHEEO, ASME, etc.), and client requirements.

Follow internal design checklists and participate in design reviews to maintain quality and consistency.

Incorporate feedback from site execution and O&M teams into future design improvements.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment technologies (MBR, MBBR, RO, UF, etc.)

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel-based sizing tools, and basic hydraulic design software

Ability to interpret water quality reports and apply process engineering principles

Soft Skills:

Attention to detail, structured approach, and excellent documentation skills

Strong coordination and communication with cross-functional teams

Capability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
