We are looking for a Project Manager with a strong background in SPM automation, jigs, and fixture design and execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project management - from concept to commissioning - ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Develop and manage detailed project timelines and milestone tracking.
Coordinate cross-functional teams (design, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and installation).
Technical Management:
Provide technical oversight for SPM automation and jig/fixture design.
Review and approve design documents, BOMs, and manufacturing drawings.
Ensure compliance with client requirements, quality standards, and safety norms.
Client Coordination:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct regular project meetings and provide status updates.
Manage scope changes, customer feedback, and ensure timely approvals.
Team Management:
Guide and manage design engineers, mechanical/electrical teams, and installation teams.
Conduct performance reviews and mentor team members for skill development.
Vendor Management:
Coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors for timely procurement and delivery of components.
Evaluate vendor performance and manage quality assurance at all stages.
Commissioning & Handover:
Oversee on-site installation and commissioning activities.
Conduct final inspections and ensure customer sign-off and satisfaction.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain project documentation, reports, risk registers, and change logs.
Provide MIS reports to senior management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Automation Engineering.
7+ years of experience in SPM, automation projects, and fixture/jig development.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, PLCs, and motion systems.
Proficient in design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
Excellent project management skills (MS Project/Primavera).
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
